The second set of the Erasmus+ Knowledge Alliances dissemination sheets has been published and is available on the EU Bookshop. The updated publication includes a dissemination sheet for Knowledge Alliances projects selected from 2014 to 2019.
The European Commission has announced the second round of direct equity investment through the European Innovation Council (EIC) Fund. Since its launch in 2020, the EIC Fund has now approved 111 investments in highly innovative start-ups and small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) totalling more than €500 million to scale up breakthrough innovations in areas such as health, circular economy, and Internet of Things (IoT).
Europe’s collaborative research and innovation are key drivers for a greener, healthier and more digital future for all. This was the main theme of the third European Research and Innovation Days this year. Its over 21,000 registered participants from 105 countries stressed the need for Europe to remain at the forefront of research and innovation to achieve a sustainable future for all. This includes key roles for Horizon Europe, the new EU research and innovation programme, as well as the European Research Area to lead on the coronavirus recovery and the twin green and digital transitions.
With a budget of EUR 3 billion, the EIT’s new strategy ambitious strategy for 2021 to 2027 focuses on four main elements that reflect the needs of European innovation and will help Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem thrive.
