On Monday, June 14th of 2021, the DAISSy research group of the Hellenic Open University organized the Greek online event entitled «Valorisation and promotion of Cultural Heritage», in order to disseminate the results of the European project S.I.L.V.HER.

On Wednesday, June 23, 2021, the President of the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), Mr. Christodoulos Angastiniotis, visited The Cyprus Institute along with CCCI’s Secretary-General, Mr. Marios Tsiakkis, CCCI’s Deputy Secretary-General, Mr. Leonidas Paschalides, and Mr. Michalis Moushouttas, President of Nicosia CCI.
A research team of the Cyprus Center for Algorithmic Transparency (CyCAT), which is hosted at the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), consisting of Mrs Maria Kasinidou, PhD student at the OUC Faculty of Pure and Applied Sciences, Dr Styliani Kleanthous, Dr Kalia Orphanou and Associate Professor Jahna Otterbacher, presented the results of their research on “Educating Computer Science Students about Algorithmic Fairness, Accountability, Transparency and Ethics’’, in the 26th Annual Conference on Innovation and Technology in Computer Science Education (ITiCSE).
The DAISSy Reserach Group of the Hellenic Open University presented the European project Creative Audiovisual Lab for the promotion of critical thinking and media literacy (CrAL) at the multiplier event entitled “VOCATIONAL SENIOR HIGH SCHOOLS go Erasmus+: Benefits for teachers and students II”.
