Frederick University participates in the European project "Inclusive University"

A European Project aiming to improve the response of Higher Education Institutions to disabled students’ needs resulted in a set of educational tools freely accessible online. Frederick University, two Universities in Poland and Slovenia and a Polish NGO developed the tools which better respond to the needs of students with physical, mental, intellectual or sensory impairments, vision and hearing disabilities, learning disabilities, autism or attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD).

Cyprus University of Technology: Great success of the Department of Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Science academics in securing Funding from RIF (Research and Innovation Foundation)

The Department of Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Science of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) announces the great success of its academics to secure funding from research proposals submitted under the RIF's programme "Excellence Hubs". Specifically, out of the 18 proposals that were selected in total and fall into the scientific area "Life Sciences", 4 belong to academic coordinators from the Agricultural Sciences, Biotechnology and Food Science Department.

Open University of Cyprus: Important distinction for the BalkanROAD research project with OUC: Public Choice Award at the RegioStars 2021 European Commission awards

The research project BalkanROAD "Towards Farms with Zero carbon-, waste- and water- footprint. Roadmap for Sustainable Management Strategies for Balkan Agriculture", in the implementation consortium of which was the Open University of Cyprus (OUC), was nominated for an award in the category" Smart Europe "of the RegioStars 2021 awards of the European Union. The project achieved a very important distinction, to be one of the two (2) projects that were awarded the "Public Choice Award" among all the nominated research projects.

University of Nicosia: The C-MOR project at the 14th European Public Health conference

The 14th European Public Health (EPH) conference took place virtually on 10-12 November 2021. This year, the conference theme was “Public health futures in a changing world”. At the conference, two faculty members of the Department of Primary Care and Population Health were invited, through a competitive peer-reviewed abstract submission and selection process, to present the findings of the research undertaken under the umbrella of the C-MOR project.
