On 13th April, the Commission proposed a legislative amendment to the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund 2014–20 (EMFF), which would allow for additional crisis measures to support the EU fishery and aquaculture sectors in the context of Russia's invasion of Ukraine.
On 8 April 2022, the European Commission asked services to terminate ongoing grant agreements and subsequent payments to Russian public bodies or related organisations as part of the Research and Innovation Framework Programmes, Euratom and the Erasmus+ programme.

EU project to help strengthen transition to a circular economy through tracking of critical materials aligning with sustainable practices
The Commission selected 39 new projects under the 2021 EIC Pathfinder call for cutting edge research projects to achieve breakthroughs in five strategic areas. The successful projects were chosen among 403 submitted eligible proposals and will receive up to €145 million of EU funding (on average €3.7 million per project).
