The University of Cyprus and the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts signed a General Memorandum of Cooperation on Wednesday 29 June 2022, with the key thrust of research, education and scientific excellence, to make Cyprus a regional center in these key areas. The Memorandum was signed, on behalf of the University of Cyprus, by the Rector, Professor Tasos Christofides and on behalf of the Cyprus Academy of Sciences, Letters and Arts, by the President, Professor Andreas Demetriou.
On Wednesday, 22nd of June 2022, The Cyprus Institute (CyI), the Inter-Academic Group for Development (GID) - an International Association consisting of Academies from Southern Europe and the African continent with the ambition of “mobilizing knowledge in the service of a true Euro-African co-development” - along with the French Embassy, the French Institute of Cyprus, and the Academy of Overseas Sciences ASOM, co-organised the Conference entitled “Hydrodiplomacy and the Nexus in the Eastern Mediterranean and the Middle East (EMME) - Towards a Regional Cooperation”.
The European University of Cyprus, partner of the Erasmus+ project entitled "Augmented Assessment" invites teachers and schools of Primary and Secondary Education to participate in the pilot implementation of the project that will take place from October 2022 to June 2023 . The project is supported by the competent educational authorities from Cyprus (Cyprus Pedagogical Institute ), Greece and Portugal.
