The Open University of Cyprus (OUC) has secured funding for the implementation of a new research project aiming to “Develop a Web Based Learning Environment for Supporting Students’ Argumentation Skills and Reducing Prejudice”. The proposal will be funded in the framework of the competitive Excellence Hubs Programme of the RESTART 2016-2020 Call of the Cyprus Research & Innovation Foundation.
Following a decision of the Council of the European University Association (EUA) on October 29, 2021, the European University of Cyprus is now a full member of the Union. The accession of the European University of Cyprus to the EUA, which represents more than 800 Universities and National Meetings of Rectors from 48 European countries, is a recognition and confirmation of its extensive research activity, its procedures for ensuring the quality of its curricula, its international collaborations and his academic excellence in general.

Seven research proposals in which the Frederick Research Center (FRC) participates either as a coordinator or as a partner have been selected for funding by the Research and Innovation Foundation (RIF), under the Call for Proposals EXCELLENCE / 0421 of the "Excellence Hubs" Programme. Five proposals in which the FRC is a project coordinator (in collaboration with other research bodies), and two in which it participates as a partner, have received the green light for funding.
