The third call of the European City Facility (EUCF) closed at the end of 2021 and received 166 applications submitted by public authorities from all across Europe. The highest number of applications came from countries from Central Eastern Europe.
The European Commission, the European Climate, Infrastructure and Environment Executive Agency (CINEA) and a consortium of sustainability consultants and algae organisations are launching a European algae stakeholder platform, called EU4Algae.
