Cyprus University of Technology: CUT researcher was awarded at the 42nd Panhellenic Cardiology Conference for presenting the pilot results of the SupportHeart study

The pilot results of the research program ‘SupportHeart’ of the Department of Nursing of the Cyprus University of Technology (CUT) were presented at the 42nd Panhellenic Cardiology Conference.

The results were presented by Dr. Martha Kyriakou, graduate of the doctoral programme and research associate of the Department of Nursing of CUT, who also received the award of free announcement of the conference.

The SupportHeart programme is about supporting patients with heart failure in Cyprus and their caregivers, in order to comply with the treatment and instructions, to make better self-management of the disease and early recognition of worsening symptoms, in order to reduce acute events and re-admissions, as well as and improving their health-related quality of life.

Coordinator of the programme is Dr. Ekaterini Lambrinou, Associate Professor of the Department of Nursing of CUT.
