Cyprus University of Technology (CUT): New success for the research team New Media, Intellect and Learning of the NAPI Department: Award for best article for learning planning.
New research success for the Department of Communication and Internet Studies of CUT and the research team New Media, Cognition and Learning (Media, Cognition and Learning Research group - MCL).
The article by PhD candidate Andrias Agisilaou and Associate Professor Dr. Elenis Kyza, entitled "Empowering students to be data literate: The design and implementation of a learning environment to foster critical data literacy", was awarded as the best article in the category Best Design Paper at the international conference of the International Society of the Learning Sciences 2021 ISLS Annual Meeting.
The conference was entitled "Reflecting the Past and Embracing the Future" and took place online between June 7-11, 2021. This conference is one of the most well-known and prestigious conferences in the field of Learning Sciences. The article was nominated with five other submissions in its category, but managed to stand out. Καινούρια ερευνητική επιτυχία για το Τμήμα Επικοινωνίας και Σπουδών Διαδικτύου του ΤΕΠΑΚ και την ερευνητική ομάδα Νέα Μέσα, Νόηση και Μάθηση (Media, Cognition and Learning Research group - MCL). Το άρθρο της υποψήφιας διδάκτορος Άντριας Αγησιλάου και της Αναπληρώτριας Καθηγήτριας Δρ. Ελένης Κύζα, με τίτλο “Empowering students to be data literate: The design and implementation of a learning environment to foster critical data literacy”, βραβεύτηκε ως το καλύτερο άρθρο στην κατηγορία Best Design Paper στο διεθνές συνέδριο του οργανισμού International Society of the Learning Sciences (2021 ISLS Annual Meeting.
Το συνέδριο είχε τίτλο “Reflecting the Past and Embracing the Future” και πραγματοποιήθηκε διαδικτυακά μεταξύ 7-11 Ιουνίου, 2021. Το συνέδριο αυτό αποτελεί ένα από τα πιο γνωστά και καταξιωμένα συνέδρια στον τομέα των Επιστημών Μάθησης. Το άρθρο ήταν υποψήφιο με άλλες πέντε υποβολές στην κατηγορία του, αλλά κατάφερε να ξεχωρίσει.
