EIT RawMaterials welcomes the new cohort of EIT-Labelled Master students in Sustainability and Resources Engineering

In September, the new semester for the next cohort of labelled students started. The EIT RawMaterials Day, a physical induction day, was held for SINReM on 15 September 2021 in the City of Ghent and for EMerald on 17 September 2021 in Liege.

SINReM (International Master of Science in Sustainable and Innovative Natural Resource Management) is a unique Master of Science programme. It aims to educate a new era of professionals. The two-year course introduces students to the sustainability challenges of the circular economy.

EMerald is a Master in Resources Engineering (Innovative Education in Geometallurgy and Circular Economy). The programme finds the right balance between knowledge of resources (geology, landfills, urban mines, reserve characterisation and modelling) and process engineering techniques (comminution, sorting, preconcentration, extractive metallurgy and waste disposal).

Alumni welcomes the next generation of innovators

The EIT RawMaterials Alumni took the opportunity and joined this first meeting of the new students. They provided insights into their career and helped with advice on shaping the entrepreneurial journey of the new students. The Alumni interacted with the students on a variety of topics ranging from personal experiences to opportunities such as Master thesis topics or internships.

This next generation of high impact innovators will be on the lookout for internships and challenges coming from the industry and research organisations. We encourage EIT RawMaterials partners to contact [email protected] to share your job and internship offers to this community of over 700 Raw Materials talents. We invite you also to join the Alumni community yourself to post and find out about sector related events.
