Dedicated to highlighting the rich medieval heritage of Cyprus, the Centre for Medieval Arts and Rituals (CeMAR) at the University Of Cyprus and its recently-launched Network for Medieval Arts & Rituals proudly announce their collaboration with the Visit Nicosia (Lefkosia) Nicosia Tourist Development and Promotion Company (NTB).
Nicosia Tourist Development and Promotion Company (NTB) is an organisation with which both NetMAR and CeMAR share a commitment to actively promote the cultural deposits of Cyprus and of Europe and to bring together stakeholders from various fields and economic sectors.
A key aim of NetMAR and a long-term ambition of CeMAR are to generate groundbreaking research into medieval life in Cyprus and, crucially, to share this knowledge with the wider community as well as to involve in their activities local industries.
CeMAR/NetMAR and NTB will work together to bridge the gap between academia and industry. CeMAR and NetMAR are interested in all types of medieval arts. CeMAR's holistic remit and scope contributes towards a better understanding of the workings of medieval cultures and, by bringing together arts, performance, and ritual under one roof, it reveals continuities often obscured.
Please contact the Centre’s Director, Dr Stavroula Constantinou, for more information about the Centre including about how to get involved.
