THE DAISSy RESEARCH GROUP OF THE HELLENIC OPEN UNIVERSITY (HOU) CO-ORGANISED THE FINAL INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF THE CROWDDREAMING PROJECT: YOUTH CO-CREATE DIGITAL CULTURE
The DAISSy Research Group of the Hellenic Open University (HOU), partner of the European project Crowddreaming: Youth Co-Create Digital Culture (CDDC) co-organised the final International Conference of the project, which took place on March 25 online under the ALL DIGITAL Week 2021.
More than 170 participants, that included exceptional guests of international stature, attended the online event.
Specifically, following a greeting from the President of the Board of All Digital and Head of DAISSy, Prof. Achilleas Kameas, the programme of the conference included two keynote speeches by experts in (digital) cultural heritage. Matevž Straus, founder of the ID20 Institute for Heritage Innovations from Idrija and Head of Heritage + at Arctur who spoke about the value and role of cultural heritage and opportunities to make full use of its potential through digitisation and Prof. Gunnar Liestøl, Department of Media & Communications at University of Oslo which has developed many hypermedia and augmented reality systems, such as the award winning ‘Kon-Tiki interactive’ and ‘Old Narva’ and is leading the SITSIM project and presented ways to use augmented reality as a tool for education and utilisation of cultural heritage.
The keynotes were followed by a panel discussion on “Cultural heritage, Education and Digitisation: What awaits for the future?’’ where Altheo Valentini, European Grants International Academy Srl, Italy, hosted representatives of European institutions and civil society organisations. Hannes Heide (Member of the European Parliament – S&D Group), Michael Teutsch (Head of School and multilingualism unit at DG EAC, European Commission), Marianna Marcucci (Co-Founder, Invasioni Digitali) and Brikena Xhomaqi (Director of Lifelong Learning Platform – LLLP).
The last part of the Conference was dedicated to the presentation of the results of the CDDC project, and on behalf of DAISSy, Ms. Eleni Georgakakou, Researcher and Project Manager for Greece, thanked in Greek all the teachers and students who participated in the creation of the Europa Square digital monument.

Η ΕΡΕΥΝΗΤΙΚΗ ΟΜΑΔΑ DAISSY ΤΟΥ ΕΑΠ ΣΥΝΔΙΟΡΓΑΝΩΣΕ ΤΟ ΤΕΛΙΚΟ ΔΙΕΘΝΕΣ ΣΥΝΕΔΡΙΟ ΤΟΥ ΕΡΓΟΥ CROWDDREAMING: YOUTH CO-CREATE DIGITAL CULTURE
Η Ερευνητική Ομάδα DAISSy του ΕΑΠ, φορέας-εταίρος του ευρωπαϊκού έργου Crowddreaming: Youth Co Create Digital Culture (CDDC), συνδιοργάνωσε το τελικό Διεθνές Συνέδριο του έργου, το οποίο έλαβε χώρα στις 25 Μαρτίου διαδικτυακά στο πλαίσιο της All Digital Week 2021. Περισσότεροι από 170 συμμετέχοντες-ουσες παρακολούθησαν μέχρι τέλους την ηλεκτρονική εκδήλωση στην οποία συμμετείχαν σημαντικοί-ές καλεσμένοι-ες διεθνούς εμβέλειας.
Συγκεκριμένα, σε συνέχεια χαιρετισμού από τον Πρόεδρο του Συμβουλίου της All Digital και Επικεφαλή της DAISSy, Καθ. Αχιλλέα Καμέα, το πρόγραμμα της εκδήλωσης συμπεριέλαβε δύο κεντρικές ομιλίες από ειδικούς στη (ψηφιακή) πολιτιστική κληρονομιά: τον Matevž Straus, ιδρυτή του Ινστιτούτου ID20 Institute for heritage innovations from Idrija και επικεφαλή του Heritage+ του φορέα Arctur, ο οποίος μίλησε για την αξία και τον ρόλο της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς και δυνατότητες πλήρους αξιοποίησης των δυνατοτήτων της μέσω της ψηφιοποίησης και τον Καθ. Gunnar Liestøl, Τμήμα Μέσων Ενημέρωσης και Επικοινωνιών του Πανεπιστημίου του Όσλο, ο οποίος έχει αναπτύξει πολλά συστήματα υπερμέσων και επαυξημένης πραγματικότητας, όπως το βραβευμένο «Kon-Tiki interactive» και το «Old Narva» και ηγείται του έργου SITSIM και παρουσίασε τρόπους χρήσης της επαυξημένης πραγματικότητας ως εργαλείου εκπαίδευσης και αξιοποίησης της πολιτιστικής κληρονομιάς.
Σε συνέχεια των κεντρικών ομιλιών ακολούθησε panel συζήτησης σχετικά με την «Πολιτιστική κληρονομιά, εκπαίδευση και ψηφιοποίηση: Τι αναμένεται για το μέλλον;» όπου ο Altheo Valentini, European Grants International Academy Srl, Ιταλία, φιλοξένησε εκπροσώπους ευρωπαϊκών θεσμικών οργάνων και οργανώσεων της κοινωνίας των πολιτών και συγκεκριμένα τους-ις: Hannes Heide (Μέλος του Ευρωπαϊκού Κοινοβουλίου, S&D Group), Michael Teutsch (Επικεφαλής μονάδας σχολείων και πολυγλωσσίας στη GD EAC, Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή), Marianna Marcucci (Συνιδρύτρια, Invasioni Digitali) και Brikena Xhomaqi (Διευθύντρια της Πλατφόρμας Δια Βίου Μάθησης-LLLP).
Το τελευταίο μέρος του Συνεδρίου ήταν αφιερωμένο στην παρουσίαση των αποτελεσμάτων του έργου CDDC, και εκ μέρους της DAISSy, η κα Ελένη Γεωργακάκου, Ερευνήτρια και Υπεύθυνη Διαχείρισης του έργου για την Ελλάδα, απεύθυνε στα ελληνικά ευχαριστίες σε όλους-ες τους-ις εκπαιδευτικούς και μαθητές-ριες που συμμετείχαν στη δημιουργία του ψηφιακού μνημείου της Europa Square.
