INEA has received 100 project proposals requesting €369 million co-funding of the 2020 CEF Transport MAP call.
Evaluation of the proposals will start in April, and the grant agreements with the successful applicants will be prepared as of August 2021.
The 2020 CEF Transport MAP call for proposals was published on 15 December 2020 with a total indicative budget of €200 million (€160 million under the 'General envelope' and €40 million under the 'Cohesion envelope').
This call addresses actions related to the funding objective “removing bottlenecks, enhancing rail interoperability, bridging missing links and, in particular, improving cross-border sections”. Only studies are supported under this call.

INEA will now evaluate all submitted proposals with the help of independent external evaluators. Evaluation will start in April and its results will be announced in August 2020 (indicatively), after which successful applicants will receive an invitation to start the grant agreement preparation.
